If you are new to the Internet you may not understand how to 'Navigate' (meaning go from or LINK from) page to page.

On our HOWLONG Site we use colours for LINKS to tell you what to CLICK ON to get to the page containing the information.

A LINK either takes you to a page on this Site or to ANOTHER SITE NOT ON THE HOWLONG SITE. Some links may take youto another Site.

The COLOUR of the LINK for pages you HAVEN'T visited is MAROON this colour, HERE.

NOTE that as you move the CURSOR (the ARROW) with your mouse OVER the MAROON word 'HERE' the CURSOR will change to a 'HAND-FINGER' and the word 'HERE' will turn BLUE. This is called 'HOVERING.' TRY IT TO SEE. DO NOT CLICK YET!

Also, as you do this, a box will pop-up TELLING you some information about this LINK. This box will say, 'CLICK ME.' TRY IT, BUT wait a few seconds for it to happen, then it will go away depending on what PC and Browser you are using.

When you click on this LINK you will go to the page the LINK sends you to.

AND the MAROON word has now turned 'BLACK UNDERLINED' meaning you have VISITED this page.

Now, on the left are more MAROON LINKS that will take you to other pages BUT note, HOVERING over the little picture WILL ALSO DO THIS. The box that pops up displays the words of the LINK you will go to once you have clicked. Please remember to WAIT for it to pop-up!

Some PICTURES also contain 'CLICKABLE' LINKS. (Meaning if you click on them you will go to the LINK)

The top, right hand picture will take you to the HOWLONG HISTORY PAGE. Just move your mouse until the cursor HOVERS over the TOP RIGHT HAND PICTURE and the box that pops up says 'HOWLONG HISTORY.' TRY IT BUT DON'T CLICK.

At the BOTTOM of each page there are LINKS that duplicate some of the LINKS on the left. These operate in the same manner:

HOVER OVER THEM: THEY TURN BLUE

CLICK THEM: YOU GO TO THE LINK AND THEY THEN TURN BLACK UNDERLINED SHOWING YOU HAVE BEEN THERE.

If, having gone to a page, you HOVER the cursor over a BLACK UNDERLINED LINK, the THE COLOUR CHANGES TO BLUE MEANING YOU CAN GO BACK THERE.

NOTE that ANY LINK that sends you to a page will go BLACK UNDERLINED. So, if you clicked on, 'BUSINESSES' on the left, when you go to the Businesses page, the BOTTOM LINK to the Businesses page will be BLACK UNDERLINED.

SUMMARY: MAROON = Link not clicked on. CLICK ON IT = GO THERE. It will then turn BLACK UNDERLINED.

BLUE = HOVERING over LINK. Been there IF BLACK UNDERLINED. You cna GO BACK TO LINK.

BLACK UNDERLINED = PAGES VISITED. BLACK UNDERLINED when HOVERED over will turn BLUE. (Meaning you can go there again.)
